About This:

With Ringing in My Head, Cori Yarckin has created a powerful debut that is distinguished by an uncommon lyrical strength and musical maturity. Producer Jimmy Robertson Landry has captured Yarckin’s natural energy, and channeled the passion and emotion of a young female artist into a tightly honed pop/rock package. “I set out to make a record that people can relate to and sing along with,” Yarckin shares. “I have a defined pop sensibility, but I also love to get aggressive and rock – and that balance of styles is one of the most important things that sets my music apart. My songs are in tune with the way people really feel, and it’s important for me to create music that a large section of music fans can connect with in a number of different ways. I think that’s exactly what we achieved with Ringing in My Head.” Drawn from Yarckin’s own life experiences, Ringing in My Head also offers a strong role model for women her age, with the album’s blend of confessional lyrics and clear sense of self. “These are songs that say something about what I am feeling, and what other girls my age are experiencing,” she explains. “My music is empowering at times and vulnerable at other times. It’s real, like me. Real songs, real music, a real girl – that’s what I have to offer.” Check out more about Cori Yarckin at www.coriyarckin.com.
