Dave Coffin's new EP "Carry The Weight" is a collection of four songs co-written and produced with producer Crit Harmon. Harmon's track record with Boston musicians is to be respected, having produced a number of award winning records by the likes of Martin Sexton, Meg Hutchinson, Mary Gauthier and more. He brings his expertise and unique producing style to Dave Coffin's unique writing and performing style, and the two are a perfect pair. "We approached recording this EP different than I usually do, we took everything back to the roots of the songs and re-imagined everything," says Coffin. "We wanted the songs to be the primary focus here, keep the production simple and elegant, using organic instruments and friends playing them." The result is 4 songs that hit a dramatic note. The songs are heartfelt, yet easy to relate to. Each song brings its own character to the table, and they leave you satisfied, but wanting more.
