About This:
ON GREAT BLUE HERON CREEK (1992 - 1994)
Great Blue Heron Creek was the name of a little creek next to the house I lived in for awhile in Newington, Connecticut. One day, while walking my hound dog Homer down by its banks I surprised two very tall Great Blue Herons. They swooped off, making hardly any sound at all with their long wings. I wrote many songs while there, in preparation for my third album. Unfortunately, that record didn't happen as planned - but that's a whole other novel!
My home studio was in the huge basement - it was very cozy, but cold, so I always wore my long grey coat that made me look like a Russian soldier. Most of the songs are done by me, all tracks, except as noted here:
Robbie Hugh - acoustic guitar on "4 & 20 Catfish". On "Lone Rider", "A Whole Lot Of Love" & "I'm Done Talkin' To You": "me - lead & background vocals, Hammond B3, piano, synthesizer; Cindy Rickmond - bass; Mick Gaffney - guitar; Zach Alford- drums.
