About This:
THE LOST NEWTON YEARS (1996 - 2006) I call them "The Lost Newton Years" because when I moved up from North Carolina, I landed, eventually, in Newton, Massachusetts. There, at the home of a friend I've known since first grade, I lived in a cozy third floor apartment that I dubbed "the hawk's nest" where I wrote and recorded many songs. I also taught songwriting at Berklee College Of Music in Boston while living there. I sang and played all the tracks on these songs, except for "Jingle Pie", which I recorded at Berklee College Of Music Studios. On that song it was: Me on lead & background vocals, & Hammond B3 Organ; Bob Doezema - guitar; Tom Stein - bass; Kenwood Dennard - drums, & Cherokee mouth bow; Ralph "Corndog" Rosen - harmonica.
