I have been writing songs, performing, bandleading and recording for thirty years, concentrating on songs that communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ and on principles of righteous living as lucidly and as directly as possible. These songs issue from my strong conviction that Jesus is the answer for the world today, to quote the inspiring words of Andrae Crouch (with my wife Shuvai and our kids Tinashe and Tendai, I have had the privilege of supporting Andrae and Sandra in live performance).
A good number of my songs have had an impact, and some are in use in television, including "Vana Vanokosha", versions of which I intend to post periodically on my space. Covers of one or two of my songs have been released by other artistes in Africa, Europe and North America. One of these is "Glorious", which will appear on my player from time to time.
Shuvai and I have three wonderful children, Tinashe, Tendai and Paida. Tinashe and Tendai are accomplished songwriters/musicians who have won several awards for their works (they aced the Istetford International Competition, Tinashe was selected for the International Honor Choir and Tendai is in demand everywhere).
From the time I met my wife Shuvai during the '70s, we have been writing,performing and recording together. As her producer, I have the privilege of being a part of her phenomenal talent.
Initially dependent on raw musical instinct, I have worked over the years to educate my God-given talent, and ultimately became a certified producer with credentials from Berklee College of Music. As a producer, I have worked on several projects that have proved to be radio-and fan-friendly.
My work caught the attention of prominent industry publications like Keyboard Magazine, as well as that of well-known newspapers like The Washington Post. The greatest reward, though, is to receive feedback from people who testify that the songs have inspired them to walk with God. |
