In just 18 months since stepping out into Boston's folk scene, south shore native Lori McKenna is releasing her debut cd Paper Wings & Halo, produced by Seth Connelly. It is the voice that will get you first - unclassifiable -full of character & magnetism. Then the strength in the songs, tackling topics such as alcoholism in the family, the courage of a black girl being escorted to school by the National Guard, to the joys and pains of aging as seen from the eyes of a child and her grandmother.
