About This:
Every month at the time of the full moon, humanity is presented with a great spiritual, meditative opportunity to contact and distribute the subtle energies of one of the twelve signs of the zodiac and of its 'ruling planets'. These potent monthly alignments are known in the "Ageless Wisdom" as "spiritual festivals" and, increasingly, as "Solar Fire Festivals". Solar Fire is the subtle, subjective energy of Love-Wisdom which emanates from the "Heart of God" - the Heart of the Sun. Three of these Solar Fire Festivals are of greater significance than the other nine. These three are the Easter Festival (which celebrates the resurrection of the Christ Spirit in the hearts and minds of humanity); the Wesak Festival (a great Eastern festival taking place at the time of the Taurus Full Moon, and which celebrates the inspiring, yearly return of the Buddha before the assembled Spiritual Hierarchy of our planet); and the Festival of the Christ occurring at the Gemini full moon. The name of any particular Solar Fire Festival derives from the zodiacal sign in which the Sun is placed, and not from the zodiacal position of the Moon. From the perspective of our solar system, Taurus may be considered the most central constellation for, in the ancient lore of spiritual esotericism, we are told that our solar system revolves around the constellation of the Pleiades once every 250,000 years, and it is (optically) 'within' the constellation Taurus that the Pleiades presently are to be 'found'. From a more earthly perspective, the Full Moon of Taurus marks the "spiritual high point of the year" for disciples of the Great Tans-Himalayan Lodge and for humanity in general. It is at that time, the Tibetan Master, Djwhal Khul, informs us, that the Wesak Festival is celebrated in the Wesak Valley, high in the region of the Himalayas, beneath Mount Kailash. For eight minutes every year the Buddha is said to 'descend' from Shamballa, to convey the blessing of that Great Center of Power to the Christ and the assembled Spiritual Hierarchy and, through the Hierarchy, to humanity. Humanity seeks to become illumined and free from the illusion of desire, symbolized by the sign Scorpio. At the Wesak Festival a great flood of Will and illumination pours forth in stillness over an expectant human race; humanity is bathed (to the extent of its receptive capacity) in the "Unfettered Enlightenment" of Shamballa. It is hoped that the music composed for the Wesak Festival will enhance the sense of its reality and its unparalleled importance in inspiring humanity to greater illumination, and a greater understanding and expression of the spiritual will. The mantram fro this great spiritual festival can be expressed as follows: "I see, and when the eye is opened, all is illumined". May the " Eye of the Bull" open for all who sincerely love and serve their fellow human beings! Production Credits: Michael D.
