About This:
Spirit-filled fingerpicking tunes ranging from "Amazing Grace", "This Train is Bound for Glory", "Jesus Joy of Man's Desiring", "There's Power In The Blood", and many original compositions. An inspirational work of Guitar playing that everyone can appreciate and be inspired by. Very uplifting!
If any of my albums should have a warning label to some extent it would be this one. I am not really the type to get on the Jesus "bandwagon" and make money off of Jesus. But this album is a product of a time when i thought i needed some old-time religion and found it to be totally false. I did not need it and no one really does. But when we surround ourselves by a culture of christianity, believers and churches, TV evangelists, and religious books etc. we cannot help as humans to be "drugged" and indoctrinated and get into this religious, blind stupor. It took me over 30 yrs to finally figure out what was actually going on. I had to use my common sense. Who knows what will result? For some in ages past, religious fanaticism proved a very dangerous weapon to weild especially when others who believed differently or thought differently where in near proximity.
SO what would the warning label be on this CD? Oh maybe....i guess..."Warning, religion can very very addictive and be a danger to self and others rights and liberties"
Love is all that matters and when i did this CD under the "spell of religion" i loved each tune i created and am proud of them but these days i guess it is important to keep our religious belief systems to ourselves so we don't jeopardize the safety of others around us or in other parts of the world. I am noticing more and more the demonic behavior some christians demonstrate when you choose not to think like them or conform. I see the defensiveness and the oppressive nature like tend to blanket folks with. Religion teaches fear and they do a great job of it. I was in their chains of fear for a long time but finally escaped the game. I see church as a social club, a "feel good" club. A part of me is embarrassed by being "caught up" into this "spell" but i think it sure resulted in some pretty good music that i am proud of instrumentally for sure!
