About This:
A song i wrote after a trip on Amtrak's Southwest Chief. Inspired by the scenery and images all along the way. From the heartland plains of Illinois and Iowa to the desert Southwest of Arizona and New Mexico. Breathtaking beauty that everyone should experience.
Check out my other Amtrak trip related songs too!
I used to work at the Mendota Union Depot as a Depot master. Everyday i opened up in the morning and closed at night from 1997 to 2003. My Dad took over then and had the job until 2009. The SW Chief would roll in daily.
I give you this song to inspire you to perhaps take a trip someday and if you can't just sit back and enjoy the pictures and music i made for you.
Happy railroading!
Ray Tutaj Jr.
