The full history of Shecky and the Pimp Monkey's existence is still not fully know. Some have speculated that they are extraterrestrial, while others believe they simply came from either Pennsylvania or basic protoplasmic larvae. Not unlike paleontologist, there are many scientists still trying to uncover the mystery of where this band came from and why they spend countless hours writing music that no one will ever hear and why the music is so disturbing. Not unlike an expanding/contracting insect population, the band varies in numbers and players from year to year.
