NCAA Women's College Softball World Series Theme Song

06.13.2006 12:00 am Recently I was asked by ESPN to write and produce a theme song for the NCAA WCSWS, much like I had previously for the men's college baseball world series (Back Home In Omaha). The new song is entitled "This Is Our Time" and aired on ESPN & ESPN2 during their coverage of the series. We recorded a few different versions of the tune: a female lead vocal by the very talented Sarah Borges, a male lead vocal by yours truly, and acoustic versions as well. I had some great musicians playing on the track (old band mates of mine!) Milt Sutton on drums, Jeff St.Pierre on bass, and Thomas Juliano on guitar. We had a blast on the sessions and I've been both pleased and surprised at the response to the song by players, fans, coaches, and family members of the athletes.
